Foliomatch Privacy Policy

The policy outlines how we will collect, and use your personal information. By using the Foliomatch service you are acknowledging that you have read this privacy policy and agree to the terms outlined within this policy.

Foliomatch may change the terms in this document at any time.

    Collection

  1. Foliomatch may automatically log the users IP address for internal analysis of the Foliomatch site and its services. It will not collect any other information that the user has not personally entered into our system.
  2. Foliomatch will require personal information from you if you wish to open an account. For all account types this will include your Name, your permanent email address, and Foliomatch password. For Organisation accounts will also require your business name.
  3. Optional information we require are Location and Field of Interest. Location will include the name of city or county in which you, the student or organisation are based. Field of Interest will include one or more of the student categories.
  4. For Student accounts Foliomatch will temporarily require payment details, including credit or debit card details.
  5. Foliomatch will not require a full address or any contact numbers.
  6. Foliomatch will not require proof of person, such as a passport or NI number.
  7. If in the event Foliomatch should require any of the details outlined in point 5 or 6, we shall endeavour to inform the party.

    8. Storing

  8. Personal information will be stored by Foliomatch until the party’s account subscription has expired and until 6 months subsequent to this.
  9. No financial details, including credit or debit card details, will be stored longer than is necessary to process the payment and insure that is has cleared. Following this, information regarding the time and date of payment will be stored for future reference, and in the event payment is disputed.

    10. Use of Data

  10. Foliomatch will use personal information to contact its members about upgrades to the service or updates of information listed.
  11. Foliomatch may use personal information, to compile and complete statistical analysis about the website and its services, and for future marketing purposes. In this event Foliomatch will not use Name or Email Addresses.

    12. Your use of Data

  12. Only information you have submitted to Foliomatch will be viewable by the general public, however this will not include your email address and will remain hidden from other users. Should other users wish to contact you, you will receive their email address and message and only by replying to their message will your email address be visible to them. It is solely at your discretion to reply to any messages you receive through Foliomatch.
  13. Data outlined in point 3 is optional, however it is highly recommended that you provide this information for you to receive the best possible service from Foliomatch. By providing this information you will ensure that your profile is accessible from the basic search functions.
  14. If you choose not to provide this information, your experience of Foliomatch will be limited. Foliomatch will not be held responsible for your individual experiences.
  15. You are prohibited from sharing other members’ personal information, either through Foliomatch messaging or posts, or outside of the site’s direct control. If you are found to have shared another member’s personal information your account may be deleted without prior warning, particularly if the information impedes the safety and personal rights of another.
  16. You are advised not to post personal contact information on Foliomatch and to be cautious about who you share contact details with.

    17. Sharing

  17. Foliomatch will not share any information with any third parties without your prior consent.
  18. From time to time Foliomatch may act as an agent and recommend your work (students only) to organisations and individuals. Should this happen we will only ever share your personal Foliomatch URL, and it will be at your discretion to share contact details with them.
  19. Foliomatch staff will have limited access to your personal information and are prevented from using said information for any personal activity.
  20. If you have been found to breech the Terms and Conditions of use of Foliomatch and are found to have uploaded or shared unlawful or illicit material we will share any personal information we hold about you to the Police or other relevant authoritarian board.
  21. Foliomatch may be required to provide your information to a court of law or to another authoritarian board. In these instances we will inform you, unless prevented by law.
  22. Foliomatch maintains every effort to prevent and/or correct fraudulent activity on its site.

    23. Accessibility

  23. Foliomatch only holds information that you have provided, which is viewable on your Profile. However, if you would like to see the information in writing, you can email us at support@foliomatch.co.uk. This will be sent to you within 28 days and you will be charged a small fee.
